We're not beer drinkers but decided to stop in and at least try the food. We've lived in the area for a while and have driven by the place many times but never stopped in because we don't drink beer. As we walked in on one rainy, early, evening, the place was empty and the bartender greeted us and gave us the low down on specials and food. Another local patron came in just behind us and was picking up take away and he recommended the catfish special and said I would not be disappointed. Let me tell you....I was way more than super impressed. That dude was 1000% right! I don't know what they put in the catfish special but it must've been made with magic or some wizardry or a marinade of canned awesomeness. It was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and magically delicious. I thought what kind of lottery have I discovered? To make things better we also ordered a hamburger steak plate that was just as delicious! So delicious I didn't even get to sniff it before it was consumed. To make things better, you can BYOB! So guess what I did......I went out to my truck and brought in a bottle that we had planned to dip into at home but what can I say, sometimes plans change. There was a bottle fee that I gladly paid and we did not just dip into that bottle..... We destroyed it cus we were enticed into staying for karaoke that was about to start. What fun!! We personally don't sing but totally enjoyed those that have enough guts, talent or liquid courage to take the mic and lay down some tracks. All in all it was a great place, great fun night with great people. Don't be deceived, the inside is way bigger than it seems from the outside. The food is on point and honestly, some of the best catfish I've had in a while. MY COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF! The bartender is top notch COMPLIMENTS TO THE BARTENDER! I Just so y'all know, straight tequila is a game changer and we woke up the next day right as the rain. I look forward to trying everything on the menu and consuming mass quantities of hard liquor in the future especially during karaoke nights.
Took all my out of town inlaws there & we ate, drank & played pool & darts. It was a blast ! We surprised them all at one time. There was a dozen of us & the place was empty. Barbara waited on us hand & foot. She’s the best ! We will go back.
Me and my husband just spent a weekend away at lake Livingston. When we got here we were looking for somewhere to eat and found this ice house. The food was so good, just what we needed. Hamburger steak with delicious gravy and fries, my husband had the fried catfish and fries. There's karaoke Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. What really made the experience really enjoyable was the people. Everyone made us feel so welcome and encouraged us to join in the karaoke. We had such a good time on the Friday that we came back on the Sunday evening too. Definitely will be looking to come back in the future. Thank you so much for a lovely time
I come here every now and then and I personally love it. It's got them small town vibes. No drama. Just good people and good vibes. There's a big bar in there, darts and pool. There's the best dj ever as well and karaoke! They don't sell liquor but do beer and wine coolers. You can also bring your own bottle in for a $5 fee. The bathrooms are always clean. Oh, and they also have food!! Who doesn't love food right?! Good hometown cooked food! Overall, I love the place and the fact there's no drama there! Go enjoy a night yall!
Best Birthday ever! I decided to celebrate here because of the karaoke and great food. Firstly, when we showed up, the tables were decorated, balloons hanging and cute table decorations. They had a Birthday girl pin for me and the waitress started my money fringe. They made me feel special all night. Both, employees and patrons were super friendly and engaging. Food was excellent, as usual. Buckshot came over and personally acknowledged my bday and thanked us for choosing their establishment and then sang me happy birthday on stage. I love the smalltown watering hole feel there. My guests enjoyed darts and pool, while others of us partook in Karaoke, hosted by Josiah and Loud Mouth entertainment. Soooooo fun and memorable. Thank you all for a great 50th!!! You know we'll be back
I'm new to the great state of texas. Found this joint on my way to riverside one afternoon. Decided I would visit to one Friday to satisfy my karaoke fetish. I was hooked from the very 1st visit. The owner buckshot came to our table twice to thank us for stopping in. I had the best blt I've ever had. My neice who accompanied me exclaimed her burger was to die for. Been visiting every weekend since. Haven't had a single dish off the menu that wasn't absolutely fantastic. I truly feel like family every time I walk thru the doors. Great ownership, great people, great food. As Toby Keith would say.. I LOVE THIS BAR!!!
Great karaoke, even Buckshot himself sings and he is a good singer too! They have a kitchen you can order food from and the food is great too!!! A dance floor is available for dancers who want to take a whirl on it.
We went there to hang out while waiting for our honeys who were busy filming a night scene for a big local film project called The Beast of Trinity Texas. It is a bar, but as a couple of ladies, we were at ease because it was mostly all local women there at least the night we went. Not too crowded or empty... just right. The other icehouse was closing up for a Tuesday night, but these folks were in for the long haul playing darts & pool, laughing, enjoying their time. Nothing fancy, you got your standard offerings and some imports & a couple of decent microbrews like Shiner Bock & Blue Moon. Really good food! The owner is a sweet lady, came up and chatted.
